DJ Harrison Pop-Up Liner Notes (Season 1, Episode 1)

1.1.1) For the 2020 NFL season, ESPN released a re-recorded rendition of Little Richard's "Rip It Up," as the pre-game hype song for "Monday Night Football." The revamped version of the 1956 classic features new instrumentals and backing vocals by Butcher Brown. Little Richard was a pioneer of rock-n-roll and one of the first members of the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame. The previous song by Hank Williams Jr., "All My Rowdy Friends", was used from 1989 to 2011 and then a remixed version from 2017-2019.

1.1.3) Sons Of The James, Rob Milton(RVA artist) and DJ Harrison, made their television debut on June 7, 2020 — appearing on Issa Rae and HBO’s hit series Insecure (Season 4, Episode 9) with the song "Things I Should Have Said".

1.1.6) Madlib, is an American DJ, music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and rapper. One of the most prolific and critically acclaimed hip hop producers of the 2000s, he is widely known for his collaborations with MF DOOM, J Dilla, and Freddie Gibbs.

1.1.8) Jack White, is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He is best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the duo the White Stripes, but has also had success in other bands, (The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather, and The Upholsterers) and as a solo artist.

1.1.9) Tales From The Old Dominion, DJ Harrison solo project. December 3, 2021 release

1.1.10) 2020 Grammy Award winner for Secrets Are The Best Stories, Kurt Elling teams up for the album, SuperBlue, with producer-guitarist Charlie Hunter and two stars of the hip-hop generation: drummer Corey Fonville and bassist-keyboardist DJ Harrison. SuperBlue is described as a head-turning torrent of roisterous funk, indelible beats and all-too-current lyrics.

1.1.11) Charlie Hunter: Hybrid Guitar - On a Hybrid guitar you can simultaneously play bass lines, chords, and melodies. It has the full range of a standard bass and guitar all on one instrument.

1.1.12) D’Angelo is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He is associated with the neo soul movement, along with artists like Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Maxwell, and collaborator Angie Stone. Let us not forget, a Greater Richmond native.
