I wanted to start this column because visuals are such an important part of releasing and promoting music and can sometimes feel out of reach. Blog Author - Tyler Blankinship: What's up everybody! I work primarily as a freelance graphic designer focused on music work (album covers, concert flyers, merch, etc.). I've also got experience in concert planning, radio hosting, music management, and a wide array of miscellaneous music work that I've been able to get my hands on. As far as music taste goes I love a bit of everything, especially local Richmond, VA acts like Fly Anakin, Lucy Dacus, McKinley Dixon, and Benét. Some of my favorite outside acts that I've gotten to see perform in Richmond are Smino, Mac Miller, Robert Glasper, & Courtney Barnett. Supporting independent musicians, especially Virginians, is one of the most important things to me so joining HearRVA felt incredibly natural when I started living in Richmond full time this year.
Interesting news about FOMB approving the gambling machines rules, since decisions like this can really shape how funds are managed and where support goes, especially for something as important as police retirement. Policy changes often sound technical, but they can have very real effects on people’s lives. For everyday readers like me, it’s also a reminder of how large the gaming space has become, from regulated machines to lighter digital formats. In my free time I sometimes look at sweepstakes-style platforms out of curiosity, and jaguar casino is one example that shows how different this segment feels compared to traditional setups. Overall, it will be interesting to see how these new regulations work in practice and whether they bring the stability…
This round up is an excellent method to follow current graphic design trends and discover innovative design concepts. The monthly display of different design styles provides me with inspiration to observe their development through time. The content above helps me to maintain my creativity while I study despite my time constraints and desire to hire someone to complete my online course.
