Debórah Bond talks "Compass: I", Richmond Music and Spicy Food w/ HearRVA!

Progressive Soul-Singer Debórah Bond joined HearRVA on our Instagram to talk about her new album “compass: I” and how Richmond musicians helped shaped her new project.

While “compass: I” is only a few days old, its music is already being played all over the world, as Bond has cultivated a large following in the U.K. Her album from 2011, “Madam Palindrome”, hit # 1 on the "UK Soul Chart" for three consecutive weeks.

Debórah also writes jingles, does voice-overs, and hosted a show on Sirius XM Satellite Radio for 10 years where she conducted interviews with top artists, Chaka Khan, Alicia Keys, Ne-Yo, Lalah Hathaway, Musiq Soulchild, & many others.

Debórah has served as Governor for DC Grammy Chapter for six (6) terms, which gave her the opportunity to foster talent, make sure music was being taught in schools and fighting for creator’s rights.

“.. yes I know i’ve always been the one
i’ve always been the one
that wants to move so fast
not knowing where i’m going
and I’m still waitin'
still waiting for the future
to reach up to me
how long will this life last?
i better start living in it
stop dwelling on the past..” - Debórah Bond
